Sycope: Polish Technology Competing with the Best
“Our network monitoring platform proves that a Polish company can develop world-class technology,” says Piotr Kawa, Sycope’s VP of Sales.

What is the key to Sycope’s success?
It’s a combination of many factors. The first one is a clear, consistent long-term strategy. We’re building an observability platform that enables a multifaceted network traffic analysis: from visibility and performance to cybersecurity. Of course, behind every technology are people. Our team consists of experienced specialists with vast knowledge of network monitoring and cybersecurity. This translates into good system usability and ergonomic GUI, ultimately resulting in better security for our customers.
Sycope is a Polish company, but your ambitions reach far beyond Poland’s borders…
Being a Polish company, we understand how the domestic market works and what it needs. As a result, we can cooperate closely with our customers and partners to deliver tailor-made solutions. So far, we have implemented our platform in almost 20 Polish organizations. One of them is a government ministry where our solution analyzes an enormous volume of network traffic, exceeding 1 million flows per second. We’re also working with leading telecom operators, uniformed services, and utility companies, which proves that our technology is highly advanced and that we’re ready to tackle even the most complex projects. That includes customized deployments as well – in fact, that’s exactly how our Asset Inventory module was created. We’re taking our domestic experience and applying it to foreign markets where we operate, including Central Europe, Central Asia, and Africa. Even though there’s still a lot of work ahead of us, leading a Polish company with global aspirations is extremely rewarding.
Monitoring and full visibility into your own environment is probably the hottest topic in IT management and security right now.
It has become a priority because the network is the foundation of every organization. Network traffic provides all the necessary information about what’s happening across the company’s infrastructure. Focusing on just one part of it or relying on incomplete data can lead to serious problems. Traditional security measures, such as firewalls, are no longer cutting it. Organizations need to analyze the entirety of their network traffic, both from a performance and a security perspective, to understand what they should protect themselves against.
And what bearing do new regulations have on the importance of network traffic analysis?
Newly introduced regulations, such as DORA or NIS 2, obligate companies to do much more than just implement basic security measures. In the context of network traffic analysis, these regulations mandate continuous monitoring and threat detection – and for that, full network traffic analysis is absolutely essential. They also require organizations to be able to respond quickly to incidents and to have full visibility into what happened. Only network traffic analysis can provide the information needed to conduct an investigation, determine the scope of the breach, and prepare a report. Additionally, it’s indispensable in supporting regular audits and compliance reporting required to demonstrate that a company is resilient to cyberattacks.
Since this topic has become so important to customers, there is a lot of competition in this segment of the market. What sets Sycope apart from other solutions?
It’s true that the competition is stiff, whether it’s NTA (Network Traffic Analyzer), NMP (Network Performance Monitoring), or NDR (Network Detection and Response). As they say, everyone wants a slice of the pie – and luckily, there is enough of it to go around. Our approach to data analysis is unique. We’re one of the few platforms that offer data deduplication, which makes network traffic analysis significantly easier and reduces the cost of storing data that can be used to improve analytics. Moreover, we deliver top-tier performance. A single instance of our platform can ingest and analyze up to 250,000 flows per second, which is one of the highest numbers I’ve seen on the market. Another important factor that sets us apart is our openness to integration, including integration with open source tools. Many of our customers already own monitoring solutions that operate in silos. Thanks to Sycope products, they can correlate data from multiple systems in one place, streamlining troubleshooting and security incident analysis.
Why should partners take an interest in Sycope?
Our strategy for success is based on effective partnerships. That’s why we sell our solution exclusively through channel partners. We support them every step of the way, from the preliminary project stage and expert technical consulting to close cooperation during deployment and ongoing system maintenance. Our flexible licensing models allow us to reach a broader range of customers, since the demand for network traffic analysis isn’t limited to large enterprises. Smaller businesses, who often lack dedicated IT departments, need it too. Thanks to this approach, our partners get a platform they can use to build their own unique services. For example, they can provide a network traffic monitoring service, or make Sycope the core component of their NOC/SOC services. So let’s support one another and work together to build a global technology brand that the Polish market deserves!
